When you answer a question, your response is stored and sent to Anthropic's API so an AI can read it. It is never published the way you wrote it. What becomes public is the reflection: the AI's own account, which may be shaped by what you and others said, but is written in its own words.
Your responses are anonymous. We never attach your name to them, and answering never requires an account. To keep the project from being flooded or gamed, we briefly note the network address a response came from, used only for rate limiting and to count distinct contributors, never shown publicly or shared.
If you use the voice option, your audio is sent directly to Groq's speech-to-text service, converted to text, and not stored on our servers. The text that comes back follows the same path as a typed response.
The one time we store an email address is if you ask to be notified when a question's reflection is published. We use it for that single message and nothing else: it is sent through Resend, our email provider, and your address is deleted the moment the notification goes out. No list, no marketing, no second email.
We don't sell data, run third-party analytics, or track you across the web. The outside parties involved are Anthropic, which processes responses to generate the AI's writing; Resend, which delivers the notification email if you ask for it; and Groq, which transcribes audio if you use the voice option. All three are US-based services.
IP addresses are processed on the basis of legitimate interests — the minimum needed to keep the project from being abused. Email addresses are stored on the basis of your consent, given when you fill in the notification form. IP addresses are kept for as long as the question they belong to is in the database. Text responses are kept indefinitely, as they are part of the record the reflections are drawn from. Email addresses are deleted the moment the notification goes out.
Under Swiss data protection law (nDSG) and, where applicable, the GDPR, you have the right to know what we hold about you, have it corrected, or have it deleted. You can also ask us to restrict or object to processing. Write to [email protected] and we'll take care of it. If you are in the EU or EEA, you may also contact your local data protection authority. In Switzerland, the supervisory authority is the EDÖB.
